Replace a product or object in a video

Start with a video containing the object you want to change and a reference image of its replacement. Object swaps can be useful for exploring a product concept, changing a prop, or trying a different look in an existing scene.

Choose the right target

Describe the object and its relationship to the scene: the cup held by the person on the right, the bag on the table, or the chair in the foreground. A specific target is more useful than asking to change everything.

Prepare your reference images

Use a sharp image that shows the full replacement object against a simple background. Match the viewing angle to the source where possible, especially for products with distinctive shapes.

A prompt to start with

Replace the cup held by the person on the right in @video1 with the product in @image1. Keep the person and surrounding scene unchanged.

If the object moves behind a hand or leaves the frame, choose a clip where it remains visible for more of the shot. Link additional images only when they help describe the object or a separate intended replacement.
